Silence Is Strong

I'm always silent, but that doesn't mean I have nothing to say.

I always wanted to speak my mind – but nothing comes out.

I patiently waited to see if you'd make an effort to ask why I'm silent.

But no, you don't. You don't give an effort – not even a little bit.

I tried everything to tell you – but all you did was ignore and walk away.

When will you notice? When will you get it? I guess you won't.

"Come here," I say. But no – you walked away.

"I have something to tell you," I tried everything, sometimes you did come – but I couldn't say anything – I made myself look like a fool.

My heart ached for so long, longing to open my mouth and say what I kept to myself, but my jaws were locked, and my mind was gone.

You thought that I was weak – but no you were wrong.

I've cried so much, tears wouldn't come out anymore.

I sobbed silently every night – praying you would notice what I was trying to say for so long.

But you never noticed.

You still thought I was weak – I was puny.

You don't realize how much pain I went to – it's probably larger than yours.

You always assumed – you never made sure of your conclusions.

Let me tell you one thing – and I hope you'll realize how wrong your thoughts on me were:

“Silence is strong.”
