"Don't— don't wake up, please."

The queeen woke with a start. Beads of cold sweat decorating her soft features. Porcelain face pale because of the dream she just had.

dream.

yes, that was just a silly dream.

No one in this world would want her to stay asleep.

None in this world.

Checking out King Philip, who's still peacefully sleeping, Aurora decided to roam the palace to clear her head.

Cold air enveloped the kingdom as the serene night devoured the place.

Everything is going well. Thorns absent from the walls, the floors are cleared of dirt and wild grass. And the most important, the sleeping beauty is awake.

So what's with the dream?

And that is when she remembered.

Of course there's no one in this world thay wanted he asleep.

But there is one on her dreams.

The boy whom she spent her happiest days with.

The reason why she hoped to stay dreaming.

He's not a prince, but he's charming. His brown, soft locks, Bright smiles and Eyes that was filled of love and life.

He was the boy Aurora sure she loved because she can be herself around him and not forced to act like a royalty.

Because he stayed with her.

Because he didn't expect anything from her.

He was the boy she loved just because.

Not for waking her up and saving the kingdom.

Not for marrying him because the people of her kingdom and her parents wants her too.

Don't her get her wrong. She appreciate Philip's action. She's happy with him, but now, now that her memories of slumber rushed back, Aurora feel like cheating to her newly wed husband.

Guilt creeps through the blonde's body. For thinking this way, and for forgetting the boy she truly love.

She decided to head back with a heart so heavy.

The Sleeping Beauty didn't get any sleep that night.

The next day, when Philip was away to fulfill his duty as the kingdoms king, Aurora had a talked to one of her Godmother.

"Say, Aunt Flora," The young queen started

"What if I already found my happiness when im asleep?"

The red clad fairy looked at her in disbelief.

"What are you saying, your majesty?"

"What if my love, my true love, happened when my eyes are closed and my breathing is even?"

Aurora heard herself as she speaks. And sh knows that every word that she's uttering is pure selfishness. Something that a Queen must never be.

But before she became a Queen, Aurora was once a princess, a young girl who dreamt of true love.

And she found it in the figment of her slumber.

"Say, Aunt Flora, If I ever said that I never want to wake up,

would you lead me back to sleep?"
