When I tell any single body that I am going on a solo date, they look at me with eyes filled with sympathy. But why? I love shopping ,brunching, going for movies all by myself. I enjoy my company then why that look of sympathy?
It took me little effort to convince my husband on letting me go out all by myself or rather just with myself. He initially would suggest taking a friend or two. But now he doesn't.I am a very social person who enjoys parties, group outings ,travel etc etc. But at times I feel the urge to just spend time with myself. May it be a movie , a spa or a little walk in the park, I feel like being with my own self. And trust me, that doesn't make me even a bit of an introvert (no offense but I am not one ) or an anti -social being.
Sometimes it's just necessary to be on your own. A little space just for yourself. Either to think alot or just to stop thinking and let go off everything for while. It is important to love your own company. You never know what life has in store for u, and if a situation arises wherein you are left with nobody on your side , you should be able to take care and lift yourself up from the ashes.
