To live again with your heart
A little sorry was all it took
To stop us from staying apart
A sorry is all that's between us
A small word of only 5 letters
But the word still took us far away
And dumped us into separate craters
A fault committed long ago
Forgotten too, I'm sure by now
But then, why remember the apology?
Why keen on making the other bow?
We loved each other didn't we?
So a five letter word wouldn't hurt
But no matter how hard we tried
It wouldn't even come out as a blurt
Were our feelings for each other bleak
Too weak to keep us from being pricks
For saying a sorry shouldn't matter
But build us up instead, brick by brick
We pretended it was the others fault
Triumphant at our own victory
But every single night, cold and alone
We thought once about that sorry
I want to go back to you once again
Be a happy, go-lucky girl in your arms
But if the price is saying sorry, dear
It rings too many bells and alarms
Every morning we see each other
On the pavement, feigning nonchalance
We know not to expect the word
Because it won't even come as pretence
We'll try every morning, make up minds
To say the word and fix things like before
But we can't and the horrible thing is
We still don't mean it, it isn't even in our deep hearts core.....
