A wave of anger surged through me,
Making my pale skin flush.
You said all we had was a lie,
That we were young and wild.
Listen to me for I shall say,
You are mistaken about our past.
I loved you with all I had,
Only to watch you go astray.
Love that I felt for you,
still runs through my veins.
But, the colour has changed,
And the warmth is lost.
I clench my jaw and bite my lips,
I exhale all the feelings I once had.
I gulp down all the kisses we shared,
And hold myself tight.
I let the tears fill my eyes,
For they say, you need to cry.
I watch myself curl up against the wall,
that still has our pictures on it.
Let me tell you, young boy,
My love wasn't a lie.
It was beautiful and real,
I wish I get to see it soon,
when I am ready to open my arms again.
