She was the strongest girl I knew. She filled souls with laughter and happiness but never did she show that hers was filled with such burdening tales. She stood tall among those who belittled her for her looks. Her character shone brighter instead. She fell in love repeatedly with the wrong ones. Her love for others was blind enough to ignore how they treated her, such was her winsome nature. She smiled through her tears, yet not for long. It was the 4th of July, her spirited heart gave way to the despair underneath. She decided she had had enough, making me ponder why she didn’t think of me that night. I was only a call away and she knew. Was I not her sister? Did the “forever” promise mean nothing to her? The next morning, she lay there motionless among the ocean of her grievers. It was too late because I didn't care enough and never will I be able to forgive myself. The chatterbox I always knew, refused to talk to me. Her silence was deafening.
Suicide is not a mean of putting an end to your sufferings, it is simply passing it on to the ones who love you the most. This wide world is a bunch of people wearing fake masks. It is not your fault to give in. While most see gossips in your despondence, some do honestly wish for your well being. Talk! Speak up! Do not decide for yourself that this life is not worth it. Let go of your atelophobia. All that matters is self satisfaction. If you believe you’re what you seek, I say you’re ready to take on the world. You’re worthy of all that you dream of.
