Almost every girl you meet is a fighter, a survivor. She is or was a victim of sexual abuse. Kissed by the unwanted guy, touched inappropriately, looked at inappropriately, talked dirty to, raped! That happy soul you think you know, had cried for help silently at some moment, and decided never to speak up about it. That happy soul you think you know, you don’t know her. She decided never to speak up for herself, fearing she’d be judged, left in darkness by the ones she love, pondering maybe if it was “her” mistake, or simply for all that she was - a woman! A male chauvinistic society supposedly protecting their woman, ended up abusing her, shutting her soul and voice down. It is not the way she dresses up, it is not the way she talks or walks. It is the way he looks, it is the way he thinks. You know her name, not her story. You heard what's she's done, you don't know what she's been through.

“I was at a party when I felt something moving from my hips to my chest. I was shocked to discover someone “feeling” me. He also began to thrust his pelvis at me. I wanted to scream but I was so shocked. I couldn’t say a word. I was scared, angry and sad-all at the same time. I’m older now and it’s been over 10 years since then but I’ve experienced numerous instances of men forcing themselves on me. Will it ever stop?”

Nights may seem lonesome, days may seem tiresome, men may seem gruesome! Fear not my angel, for not all men are what we think, for not what all men are what they seem and for you’re not that weak.

Speak up or don’t! Forgive or don’t! Forget or don’t!

But do not lose faith, do not lose hope, do not be vulnerable. Be your own hero.
