Swiftly
It always somehow gives me a sense of feeling of eeriness
How someone like you can emit such great glint to my dullness
It surprised me how easily you got me away from that tower
And all the ventures and voyages we’ve had since we’ve been together
Soon, darkness came and from whatever creatures that lurks in the night
The last thing I heard was a loud cry and suddenly, you were out of sight
If only I’ve known that it would be my last moment with you, I could’ve spent it right
I screamed out your name until the dawn was breaking and it was almost twilight
I had you, but you were taken away and I didn’t know how to go on
I was running out of time and I needed to get to the Pantheon
Not even once have I ever pictured myself making a deal with the Gods
But for you, I was ready to face everything against all odds
I followed the Gods and do what every mortal could have done
Every nightmare and torment could never be undone
Thousand days of serving and they finally gave me what I was asking for
I knew then how swiftly I’ve been fooled for what they gave me was a corpse
