That Blurs Out

Info

-Part of "Just Some Thoughts"-

For a world too tangled up in wires and too connected to those far away, technology felt us more unconnected. We may be connected to a woman 200 miles away, yet it made us distant to a person sitting across the room.

We have our head down on our phones or busy on our computers or too absorbed in our TVs that relationships with those close to us felt blurred.

And because of that, the thing that made us human began to disappear.

What makes us human? Social interaction with one another, making a functioning and healthy society. For me, relationship makes us human. The ability to rationalize our feelings and empathize with one another. But with this technology that made us absorbed into man-made things, we began to lose touch with the world.

Forgot that we are more than our fictional avatars in the Internet.

Maybe we can never stop technology. Maybe the blur will never clear. But the change will begin with us. Spend more time with the ones we loved or the people around us than we spend our time binge-watching on our favorite series.

Give the world more of our time and let us experience... life and all things that makes us human.

Our life is too short to enjoy all the things in the world, but it is too long for a man who values experience. For experience stays with us until the edges of death and it will never vanish in our afterlife. The memories we create in the outside world makes life great. Keep that in mind.
