That Dream

I walked nervously on the aisle, making sure I wouldn't trip with my gown. Everyone was staring at me with astonishment and tears in their eyes. I know they were happy for me. As the music continued, I carried on walking and looking at my groom. It didn't matter anymore if I fell, for I met him when I was down and he picked me up. What difference would it be if I fell now, I knew he would be the first one to help me up. I said a short prayer while walking. I thanked God for him, for giving me someone to spend my life with. As I drew closer, I noticed that he was also crying a little. My God, what have I done to deserve such man who loves me with all his heart . Time has come for my father to give my hand to him. My father whispered, 'Make this work, baby, not all marriages end up like your mom's and mine.' My groom heard this and he whispered back to my father, ' I'd like to promise this to God and to all of you that I will make this work. Your daughter is the greatest blessing in my life.' This almost made me cry. As he held my hand, we walked towards the priest who was ready to marry us. Before the priest started, he whispered to me, 'My love, this is it, our promise to forever, to Love God first and then each other. I love you with all of me.'. All I could say was, ' I love you, too.'

Then my alarm clock rang.

Why do I have to wake up from such a lovely dream? Perhaps to be reminded that dreams come true in God's time and plan.
