The City Of My Shortcomings!

To the city of my shortcomings

I learnt from you,

To fall and rise

Cause everything is not sugar and spice

From the test of fate to the taste of failure,

You watched me through every phase.

While I rose for my might,

While i held my failing body tight

And walked straight with my head high,

as i fell and got up without a sigh

and danced till i dropped.

On those starry nights,I cringed on to you

And stared  blankly with those dreamy eyes,

At the stroke of the midnight ,as the quietness ruled.

I envisaged you to speak,

You made me realize all we can do,

Is be patient for a while,

And for the time to be right.

I heed you and kept pace,

While I watched, everything fell into place.
