The Void

Why is it that we always miss the things we don't have?
We always long for the things we can't have and never value the things which we already possess.
We realise the value of something once its gone but despite of this fact we still do that !
More or less its just like a constant vicious circle.

Its like i keep repeating a song,it becomes music of my soul,i hear it over and over for a zillion times and suddenly one day i get bored and i hate it even by seeing it on my play list.

My hatred takes  a toll when i discard it from my playlist which gives me a sense of immense joy that finally i managed to remove something use-less and un-important .I feel lighter that this will create space for something more meaningful and significant.
I become happy about it .

Days passes by

Even months and  years..

Accidentally i hear that same song while passing by some roadside shop or on a cab or on tv.
And suddenly my nostalgia grabs me and eagerly want it  on my playlist ,to be mine.To hear it over and over with my ear phones plugged on.

The same lyrics and music which once used to infuriate me , all of a sudden i want it back to me.At first, i don't even remember the correct lyrics and it gets tough to find it.It gets tougher and tougher but i still don't give up .
Atlast, i find it by wasting a hell lot of time,on something which was useless and unimportant to me before.

I get it and it felt like conquering something and feeling victorious about it.It was more of a feeling of self-satisfaction- that i can leave things anytime /anywhere and get it back on my terms when i needed to,more of satisfying your own little ego .
And the same vicious circle traps me again.
May be human beings are dysfunctional or may be the space for that thing never gets filled.

A void that remains and holds its place to your grave.
