The Life of Death

     Enough of gathering and reaping deads, Death came to God but kept a distance. For God is Life.

     God is surprised to see Death in front of him. "What does the unbeatable Death doing here?" He asked.

     "Oh, Great and Almighty, I am enough of reaping deads and tired of gathering dead souls. The people they left, they curse me and it hurts."

     God carefully listened.

     "I want you to remove their sins for death is born through them, let them live and not die." God is amazed for what Death said.

     "So do you want to die, then?" God asked.

     "Huh?"

      "You, yourself said you were born through sins, so if I to remove them, you will certainly disappear for ever. In short, die."

      "I, Death, die?"

      "Of course, if I removed the sins and let people live forever you have no work to do. Why else not die?"

      Death thought of that for a moment. "Then, be it."

      "Nay. You, Death hasn't really realized you're other purpose, have you?"

      "What purpose?"

      "You're not just to gather dead souls but also to teach the living souls that every life there is the end called death and wherefore they have to cherish and treasure my gift of life to them."

      "That is why let them live." Death responded.

      "If I let them live forever, they won't cherish, treasure and learn from life knowing that they won't die."

       "And your other purpose, your very purpose is to remind people that life ends and they cannot forever live as they wanted to. They may chose to live by their own hearts or live for me and do everything that will please me. And that reason is why I cannot grant your request for now."

      Death sighed. "Promise me then that it would be sooner." God smiled and the Sun shone brighter. He nodded and the mountains quake.

      "I promise." God said and a rainbow appeared.

      In that very moment, Death disappeared from the face of God. He kept gathering dead souls and teaching the living ones as he think of his very purpose.
