The Road Trip Part - I

A road trip. A Story of Four friends Rahul, Shekhar, Raman & Izhaan who have been in the same class for the past 6 years.They did their Bachelors/Masters together. They all knew each other very well, their strengths, weaknesses but mostly their secrets. It was the time after they completed their final year exams and they had almost 3-4 weeks free before their result was declared. They always made their plans for a road trip but always something or the other came in their way. This was the time which will never come back, as after this they would be getting into their second phase "job".

Rahul - This last exam was a tough one. Did you see the look at the invigilators face when I asked for a bottle of water as if he was paying for it.

Shekhar - Please! you took 2 extra sheets to complete your exam. That invigilator has a funny face and expressions. haha..

Izhaan - Guys why don't we plan a road trip. Let’s make a plan and this time we need to go out of town.

Raman - But where??

Izhaan - This time we won't have a problem as our last semester has finished no more studies.

Rahul - Where should we go then??

Shekhar busy in his phone searching places for a good road trip and shouted - Guys Mumbai!!

Rahul - What?? are you serious?? Google Maps shows Mumbai is 1400 km approx from Delhi.Almost 23-hour drive. Who will drive that much?

Shekhar - So what’s the big deal we all know how to drive it won’t be a problem.

Rahul - Not possible guys it is too far please plan somewhere else. Like Jaipur.

Shekhar - Mumbai it is please guys. It would be fun. We will have a really good time. Specially Goa is near Mumbai we can have some good beers there.

Rahul - Not possible guys. Still I'll try.

Raman - Shekhar how will you convince your parents for it?

Shekhar - Don’t worry I have a plan in mind.

Rahul - Shekhar no plans would work with my parents my mom will kill me.

Shekhar - Rahul why are you so scared of your parents?

Izhaan - I don’t have a problem my parents will say yes.

Shekhar - Ok, but how will I convince my parents for this trip.

Izhaan - Of course, they will allow you after you told your parents you are going to Jaipur and went to Shimla where you totalled your father’s new BMW and came home in a Honda that also borrowed. hahaha..

Shekhar - Sir, it was the bus driver who came the wrong way not me, I drive pretty safely. Tell him Rahul that I am a good driver.

Rahul - Absolutely, he is a very good driver after driving at 180km on an Expressway, by god's grace I reached home alive. If we will go to Mumbai you are not driving for sure.

(Everyone starts laughing)

Izhaan - So Mumbai.. ok let's see. 

Rahul - It is a very big risk guys because it is vacation time and all the hotels would be over-booked.

Shekhar - I'll take care of our bookings. Please guys let's go to Mumbai. It will be fun.

Izhaan - Ok checkout the availability of the hotels in Mumbai.

Shekhar Checks his phone for some time - Got it! I have a perfect hotel for us at an affordable price and also i am getting an upgrade from Suite to Villa. Pretty Cool.

Rahul - A Villa?? I am not paying that much on our stay.

Izhaan - Me neither.

Shekhar - It is on discount. It's price is of a normal economical room.

Rahul - Are you sure?

Shekhar - Yup!

Rahul - Ok then.

Raman - Listen but in whose car are we going to Mumbai? I can’t my parents would never allow me to take my car all the way to Mumbai, not at all.

Izhaan - I’ll try to take my car but the average on my car is very poor. Our petrol consumption would take our hotel and food bills. haha..

Rahul - I’ll try to get mine.

Shekhar - Done then tomorrow we will talk to our parents convince them about our plan.
