The Rooftop

Info

It was one, busy night when the two of them decided to meet near the abandoned building where they first met.

She was contemplating whether to tell him or not, but she really need someone right now.

With her left hand holding the pregnancy test kit that showed two, red lines, and her right hand holding her tummy, he arrived and gave her a peck.

'Would you still act like this after knowing my situation?' -she thought as she was staring at him.

"Why? Did you miss me? Shall we go and have fun?" -he asked her joyfully but she couldn't even let out a smile.

She gave him the PT kit and he was shocked to see it.

Minutes after when he decided to talk again.

"Are you kidding me? C'mon Harmony. That can't happen. I always use protection!" -he almost yelled at her face.

"But what can I do? It's already here, Keith. I can't raise this alone."

"And do you think I can? Let's just abort that piece of shit and be happy, Harmony."

'Piece of shit.'

Her ears panted as she heard those words from him.

"Piece of shit?" -she laughed in disbelief. "How could you call this child a piece of shit?! It's yours!"

"Oh, is it even mine?"

She slapped him really hard.

"You bitch! Why did you slap me?!"

He yelled and gave her a slap, too, enough to make her fall to the ground then left her alone.

She cried and was not in her right mind when she stood up.

She started walking to the 13-floor abandoned building. It was dark and the silence made it even scarier.

The place is surrounded by cold air that would make anyone uncomfortable. Legends have told that many people have died here before but she didn't care.

What does she fear now?

Ghosts? Huh. The humans are scarier than them.

Her dad left all his debts to her. Her mom is nowhere to be found. She just got dumped by her boyfriend for having their child.

What more could she be afraid of? The whole world already turned its back to them.

She only have her baby.

As soon as she reached the rooftop, she walked near the cliff of the building.

"My baby, you're all that I have now. Don't leave me, okay? I promise to take care of you in our next life. Sorry if I can't do that now." -she said while holding her tummy, crying and talking to her baby.

She closed her eyes and felt the cold breeze touch her smooth, white skin.

She was about to jump off when somebody talked behind her back.

She got goosebumps all over her body.

"Who are you?!" -she bravely asked but the truth is her knees are already shaking to death.

Then there he is.

An 18-year old guy in his school uniform.

She felt relieved as she saw that it was just a guy who might have nothing to do with his life.

"What are you doing here?" -the boy asked her.

"Why do you care?" -she asked back.

"Well, nothing. I just want some fresh air. And you? Are you planning to die here?"

Louise didn't know what to say.

'It's not that bad having it talked to with some random stranger, right?' -she thought.

"Can i be open?" -she asked him.

"Well, you can be." -he cooly responded.

She started talking about her problems in life.

".....and yea, i just got dumped." -she ended.

"And you just wanna die?"

"Yea. Maybe, maybe not?" -she answered, not sure of what she really wants.

"You shouldn't end your life just because of that. Why? Did you ask your child whether or not she wants to live? You'll kill her without even letting her meet the world? How cruel."

"Tsk. As if you know everything."

She said then smiled for a bit thinking about what he said.

They talked for how many more hours and they almost lost track of time.

The guy stood up and turned his back on her but she didn't bother to throw him a look.

"You know what? It's not cool to die in here."

That statement made her throw him a short glance.

She giggled for a bit and said, "You talk as if you've done it before. Lol."

He gave her a spine-chilling smile and said, "Well, I had."

As soon as he said that, his face became filled with blood!

She can't move an inch even tho she wanted to.

She wanted to run but barely can walk.

As he took a step forward, she takes a step backward.

Forward.

Backward.

Her knees are trembling in fear.

Forward.

Backward.

"P-Please...Save me.." -she cried.

As she get near the cliff of the building, her screams are getting louder and louder.

Forward.

Backward.

"Ahhhhhhhh!!"

She closed her eyes and thought that would be the end of her and her baby.

But someone held her hand.

It was him.

His blood was dripping onto her face.

He helped her get back on her feet.

She cried again..

"I told ya. It's not cool to die in here."  he smiled as he said that and jumped off the cliff.

**
"Noooooooooooooo!!"

She screamed then woke up.

Wow. That was a pretty awesome read. I wish you could have described the boy more before the revelation. Add more to this story and you'll have an even better one.
