“Enough is Enough,” said her mother throwing the box of medicines on the floor while Rhea sat at the corner of her bed trying to focus on the novel she was reading. It wasn’t the first time that Rhea and her mother had such a heated argument. Rhea’s mother started weeping bitterly. Rhea still tried to focus on reading, but she couldn’t. She knew that there was no point of concentrating so Rhea ran upstairs to get some peace. She knew she needed to calm herself down. She was furious on everyone. Rhea sat on an easy chair and tried to divert her mind. But it kept coming to her. Again it wasn't the first time that she argued with her mother like this. There was a calm breeze. Everything around her was quiet and peaceful. All this was too common for her. During these times, she would always think about life and how it has always been unfair to her. She thought about the goals she had in life. She wanted to make it big in life just like any other teenager. She wanted respect and money and all those things which defined happiness in today's world. She thought about her mother. Rhea knew that they argued on a petty issue, but she couldn't help herself. She loved her mother moon and back. She knew that her mother won't be with her for a long time. Since Rhea's mother underwent a valve surgery everyone around her kept saying one thing "Jab maa chali jaayegi na koi puchega bhi nai." She always thought what would happen if her mother had an untimely death? What would she do then? She had no answer for these questions. She always dreamt of giving her mother the kind of life her mother always wanted. This kind of thoughts came to her mind quite often. Rhea kept looking at the sky. She loved the serenity of the night. She was all alone with her thoughts. Nobody knew her better than herself. Not her mother and not even her friends. Not that she was an introvert or not an out-going person or shy. But she never found a person to whom she could open up fully. She had a lot of friends and she did love them, but she never felt the need to share unwanted things with them. Her life was quite complicated. She thought about the kind of person she was a couple of years back and to the person she is now. Every day seemed to be so challenging for her. New job, new place, new people she was trying to get used to it. She wanted to be a writer, but her boss would tell her that not everyone can be Chetan Bhagat. On her face, she showed that she agreed with her boss but in her head she never did. She would always think of an answer for whatever her boss said, but she knew that she'd never have the courage to actually say it. Her boss would always say that "Learn the things that help you earn an easy buck." Rhea partially agreed with her. but always thought that she's not a business-minded person like her boss. She's different. She knew that one doesn't simply become the bestseller it takes time, patience and passion. She needed to improve her skills in writing. Nobody's born a writer in their mother's womb. Rhea laid down on the terrace floor and looked at the stars. There weren't many and soon they were hidden by a bunch of clouds. She could feel the cool breeze flowing through her body giving her shivers. She was completely lost in her thoughts that she forgot about the fight. Rhea knew that everybody in her house would be asleep by now. It was a long day for her. Without further thought, she went downstairs to go to bed and along with her thoughts as well.
