I met you during the darkest days of my life,

the time when my heart was full of doubts and strife.

I was in a maze trying to find my way out

thinking if I was on the right path or should I re-route?

I have God in me so I know I am blessed

but my humanity kept me from doing my best

and that time I was blinded and my life was a mess

There I discovered a song from your group

about not giving up and going back to your root

As I come to know you, I couldn’t help but fall

showing how your imperfect yet still giving your all

You told me it’s ok even if you start with a crawl

cause it takes time for a plant for it to stand tall

Now I can say I am not there yet

I have not fully known what kind of goal should I set

but as I see you now soaring high in the sky

I know that the ground where I’m standing will not remain dry

You taught me that I don’t have to be number one

I just have to give my all to the dream that I found

With your words you have turned my world upside down

Never in my loneliness again will I drown

Now I can say that I am brave enough to stand

and I am happy with the fact that we are in the same land
