One body, two hearts
Intertwined from dawn, till dusk together
So close a bond it was almost suffocating
Every breath, every second
Never apart, never alone
While others roamed stray on the streets
Coveting a human touch
They craved solace
Their bodies screaming for some space
Two souls living half a life
Surviving but barely
Hushed their minds so the heart wouldn't shatter
Till one fateful day came an angel
With an ocean-deep heart
Never did she complain
Made love to one while the other watched
While she understood, her lover could not
Filled with greed he abandoned logic
A choice to be made
Blood or love, only one could prevail
The other agreed amidst muffled silences
For who wishes to be deemed unwanted
Down went the blade
Blood splurged, it was done
Plunged deep into the void the lustful lover
And the angel and the other loved happily ever after
