Why, I ask, but you never explain.
You always say that it makes you sad,
Somehow it always makes me feel bad.

When you hear the pitter patter of water,
You tell your thoughts not to scatter.
You sit still and quiet, being all alone.
It always seems like your heart's sinking like a stone.

Though, we are kind of opposites,
For I like the pitter patter of water.
I like it's sound falling,
For there are mem'ries to remember.

Though the pitter patter of water may make your day dull,
I'll always try to make sure that your day will always be full.
I'll stay by you and even sit by your side,
