We are not Far

The honking of the horn made her Sunday morning seem miserable. She was still half asleep unable to even open her eyes. The noise increased and it became terrible for her to lay down devastated. The sun was peeping through the half open window and made the room bright.

She looked around her, the suitcases, the loaded bags and the tickets on her table all reminded her that it was time for her to leave. She looked around her bed, the blue  old  wallpaper was still there on the wall, the side table still had her family picture framed, the fairy lights still hung from her cupboard, everything around seemed to be exactly the same, yet she knew life would be very different for her now.

She realized that the time had come for her to leave "HIM" forever. She tried to convince herself that somethings aren't meant to stay forever. She fondly remembered all the memories He had gifted her which was still unfaded in her Heart.

He would open his arms to embrace her even in her most vulnerable plight. He would always be a silent witness to all her dark nights and sunny days,he would be that Someone who would always soothe her, comfort her and gift her solace. She realized that sometimes we tend to take things for granted so much that we hardly feel what would life be without it,He was around her Everytime and it was only at the hour of parting that she realized what He was for her.

He still stood still when she was loading her baggages into the taxi. The driver's face clearly indicated that he was really annoyed to have been waiting for her for so long. She checked to see if she was leaving out anything behind. But she knew that a part of her would still be left with Him,that was her shelter for so long. His walls still have her graphiti she made with crayons, his doors and windows are a silent witness to her evolving as a mature artist from an amateur creator, every nook and corner of his  will still echo with her laughter.

Driving past the House which was her safest shelter she realized that separation is rightly defined as parting with your beloved, but she never felt that her throat would feel  this heavy and her eyes would be this wet walking away from her House which was now her Home. Her thoughts got interrupted when the grumpy driver asked her to put up her window pane as it was  raining heavily. She understood that she was crying and so was He.Their pain United them once again and she realized that she will always have a part of him wherever she goes.
