We Can't Miss What We Never Had

We can't miss what we never had, we can't yearn for something that has never been really ours. Nor miss an experience we've never had.

Then I wonder why...Why do I miss you? When we've never been together. Why do I miss the times we've had, it's as if there was an "us." 

You called me your princess, but called me a friend, you stayed with me when I needed you, but abandoned me in the end...As if you never cared at all.

All those butterflies I counted while I was happy with just talking with you, have all ceased from my sight.

However, I would like to say thank you. Because of you, I learned that guys as sincere as you can't possibly exist. And all those sunshine you've caused, darkened my soul, but still, thank you. I've missed you so much, and maybe I am still since I'm still writing with you in mind.

Sometimes, I smile, and sometimes I just don't like it. Because if I really do miss you, it's as if you were mine. But never mine to lose. So I write a piece again...writing in this positive thought, still waiting for that hopeful day, in which I could finally let go.
