What we yearn for

Isn’t this what we all yearn for?

To be chosen in a heartbeat;

To be replaceable by nothing in this world;

To be the only one desired among the many;

To be held tightly as if you might disappear any time-

To be shown consistency in efforts;

To be loved on a daily, maybe secondly basis

To be given peace and assurance that you are enough

To be wished for from the Heavens above-|

But perhaps-

Just perhaps-

The reason why we cannot find such things

Is because these are things required by ourselves

Not of others-

But of our very selves.

And if to you,

You are difficult to love,

Will others then find it otherwise?
