When Heart Speaks... (Part 1)

Walking barefoot on the green tender slim grass, Arya cherished the moment as she was at her all-time favourite place with her dearest person, Daniel, her secret love who was playing the rhyme of Passenger on his guitar. As the strings of his guitar were mangling, giving out a soothing music, he murmured the lines, "Well you only need the light when it's burning low, only miss the sun when it starts to snow..."

Just then, as Arya looked up, the beautiful cocktail-blue shade was beginning to darken into gravel-grey. They felt the large clouds moving towards them. They got the first spatter of rain when they were half-way across the meadow. They took shelter under an old oak, hoping that they could see out the shower. Droplets of moisture began to drip from the leaves. They were sprinkling onto the grass like a gardener's hose. A wall of rain moved over the oak & the drops were drumming against the canopy. The rain was so intense that the sound blurred into one long, whirring noise. It reminded Arya of the rotor blades on a helicopter. The rain had lost the ambient temperature of early fall, freezing and paling their skin on contact. Each of them wished for every droplet to soak into their eyelashes before they would join their brethren on the ground like saltless tears. Intermingling with the ashes that still swirled was the rain. It fell just the same as pristine drops to spring grass, but what was left to drink it in? Rain above, destruction below, two hearts burning in-between and inner desires that did nothing but added to the dampness - there wasn't a person in fifty that wasn't sleep walking through it all. Eventually, the noise lessened & the drops faded into a musical chime. The sun came out again, casting slanted beams of light across the meadow.
