Night time, no street lights,
I make my way, along the dark road,
Not a ray of light, to guide me right,
Snow flakes, cold breeze, i forgot my umbrella.
I pray hard that i reach home,
Safe and sound, before the dinner time,
To devour the scrumptious dishes, mom made,
Slippery street, clumsy me, i slip, about to fall.
But you came from nowhere,
Held me up and hugged me tight,
Your warmthness told me i was safe,
You whispered " darling, now you are safe".
You held an umbrella over us and said,
You are allowed to fall only for me,
Not on the ground, not for any other guy,
I blush very hard, and you hold my hand.
And then the lights come up,
A magical moment, not lesser than any fairytale,
You put your arms around me,
And say, " i'll walk you home"
And so you leave me home,
Safe and sound, before the dinner time,
But now, i am in no mood to eat,
For you filled me with your sweet words and love.
