What is the average human threshold of pain caused by sound?
Yes, I googled it. The answer is 130 decibels.
And I just realized. All the times you told me....
"Fuck off!" "You don't love me." "I don't fucking care about you." "Do whatever the hell you want. I'm done with your bullshit."
All those words didn't need to be over 130 decibels for you to cause me unbearable pain. You didn't even have to lift a finger just to hurt me as much as you did.
But you know what? My threshold of pain keeps adjusting to you. Every damn time. 145. 150. 160. 180...
And I keep asking myself, where does that stop? When is enough ever enough? Where is the end of the tunnel?
Astrid waited... and keeps on waiting. When will she learn that she isn't a priority?
