I hold on,
because you hold on to me.
Angry, irritated, fussy,
you have seen me all.
Hopeless, depressed, crying,
But not once did you drop the call.
Said things which hurt,
Abuses I hurled,
“Memories” threw up
Yet you hold on.
Past, present, future,
I drag you in everything.
The least caring,
About your feelings.
I cry for things which break me,
I cry for people who left me,
You listen. You hold on.
You have a short temper
You have an ego too.
Yet, you hold on
And never let me go.
I tell you things
You shouldn’t know,
Things which hurt “men”
Things which make men leave,
But you never leave,
You stay.
You hold on.
Where is the infamous male ego?
Where is possessiveness?
Where is your arrogance?
Where does it go?
When it comes to me.
How can you be so strong?
Strong enough to stay.
Strong enough to hold on.
Strong enough,
To see the good in the bad.
But human you are,
So impatient you get.
We fight,
I leave,
But you, you hold on.
Miles apart we are,
Yet you love me so
I don’t ever feel
That we aren’t close.
For me,
Love is defined by you,
Because you hold me,
At my best
And never run away,
Seeing my worst.
What is it so strong about us?
You ask.
I say,
Its you.
Because we are connected
by the most high power.
