So much for being Algea's dissonant minion, you took
It to an enitirely new level with needles and hooks
And scalpels and forceps, all that you're not allowed on board
But you Mr.Dentist magnificently hoard
With a dishonest consideration to my mental state
You took me slave, your expertise at stake
The sharp edges you fondle with ease
My oesophagus dries, sweat on my temple crease
Your animated moves, ominous and precise
Your alabaster intentions, but I'm to pay the price
My mind goes credulously numb even before my gums
The sting ever so little, I wonder if it'll suffice
Anaethesia in my mouth, I'm strapped, trapped right in place
The discerning globe of light and Mr Dentist above my face
The instruments exchange hands, the guaze methodically prepared
The last three words before apocalypse, "Hey!Don't be scared!"
The drill comes buzzing, and so is my head, black spots are all I see
Thousand paces towards hell is where's the dentist's seat
My mouth a'gape, things in and out, but I swear that I don't feel
As Fairy claims my tooth with pride, I think, what was the big deal?
It's all in the mind, they always say, the dentist overhyped
As some monster of the yore, but he's actually the nice type
He thrusts the gauze into my mouth, and displays the damaged root
I wonder what's this hullabaloo over extracting one's tooth
In time he'll construct a silicon bed, next visit to be paid
Three months from now, my personal selection of date
When free I am, I thank him much, as he pens me a list
Painkillers for a first week of labour, and bristles delicate
"Try not to plug the cavity, be careful when you masticate
A tryst with plaque is never sweet, infections accelerate"
A week from then, I realised in vain, the painless show is fake
When anaesthesia evaporates, no matter what meds you take
You'll pray you never even had any teeth, your swollen face in gloom
You push the tasteless sticky rice, and curse the hurtful spoon
So all you fellas, with unstable teeth, care for, before it's late
Even though I'd agree, getting a kind dentist is a matter of fate!
When love happens to two inanimate objects and its funny and pathetic outcome...a tap on the watch!
00A simple poem for my Mom, and to all the Moms out there..cuz they are our world! Love u Mom :3
