Amazing Grace

A broken person that's what he left her to be. A heart that was so giving and yearned for love stopped yearning anymore. He took her heart and made it his and she gladly gave it to him until she realized he had ripped out all the love from it and gave it back to her empty. Nobody could understand the pain it put her through and he got this immense pleasure out of using peoples emotions against them. She for one could not take it no more and left after 8 long years.

It took her a year to realize what a fool she was. She would sit and mourn for leaving him even though it was the right move. The lonesomeness kept creeping in, like poison induced in her veins. She idolized the guy, lost sight of the greater plan and lost her purpose in life. A conviction in her heart was all it took to be saved. Saved from herself.

Nobody might understand her and they never will, they might say she's wrong and even mock her for telling them what she went through. So she puts everything down in paper so she cannot be told otherwise. She was told from a child that Jesus loved her and always will but believing that somebody could love her through her rights and wrongs was impossible as all the men that came into her life, left without a warning, they bruised her and left.

That conviction made her the woman she is today, after 8 years of torment and a year of depression and self destructiveness. She got to see the work of Christ in her life with her own eyes and felt the sorrow being lifted from her heart. That once lonely, depressed, unwanted, unloved, abused, self destructing girl was no-more. She proudly stands among a crowd off non-believers and shouts out loud that Jesus saved me. She was born again and the day she was she cried her heart out to Jesus and he heard her. He took all her sorrows and washed them away with his blood. She found her identity in Christ and she's the happiest she's ever been.

A friend was all she needed and a friend for life is what she has now. She was baptized with the Holy Spirit and is stronger and more loved than she's ever been before. You may ask who this person is and what makes her faith so strong in Christ alone. That girl is me.

That girl who all her life felt abused, unloved and used is no longer me. This is not a story but a testimony of my life and if it helps one person in a crowd of a billion I will be the happiest.

Jesus Christ saved my soul there is nothing to hide. I was like a wildfire in my own life before Christ, I was on a mission to destroy myself. Either suicide or drugs was my last option. I tried using love to save myself, I tried using all my emotions but none to my avail. Its been quiet a journey for me but I know now which I did not know before. No matter which man may come in my life, no matter how many friends may betray me, no matter how much they hurt me I will never be shattered again because my soul was renewed in Christ Jesus and I'm blessed. Praise Jesus! 

I am an independent woman with the love of Jesus in my heart and no one can break me. I'm not ashamed of the one who saved my soul.
