Broken... Twice

Once I believe of such a magical thing
Imagining someday it would happen to me and zing!
So many times I dream, my mind taking me to places—I wonder what it seem?
Then right there, standing was you
Turning my knees into jelly, I nearly slip from where I stand.
Every day with you is like my dream vividly coming true,
Like my life is made just to be with you.
You make me smile, you make me laugh,
You make me feel that I’m someone you can never lose in your life.

But life isn’t made with only the rainbows that shine
Yet also the rains and thunders, darkening all around—
So fast you made me fall, so fast you left me alone.
You took my everything when you left—leaving me such a great mess.
How could you do this to me?
I gave you my heart but little did you care and tore it apart.
Then again, me being me—
I hold my arms wide open, in case you’ll come back to me.
I am such an idiot hoping to relive my dreams again with you.
I’m waiting no matter how fool you made me be,
I’m waiting for I love you and nothing changed even though you scar me.

Holding roses, pleading for forgiveness.
And me being me—
Twice, I believe that there’s such a magical thing—
I wrap you again in my wide open loving arms
Silently wishing you wouldn’t bring harm to my heart.
You made promises, whispering sweet nothings to my ears,
Holding me close; I miss this feeling causing some tears.
Then again, me being me—
I should’ve known that broken your promises are meant
I should’ve known that love for you was a tournament.
Next thing I knew you left me again
With a note saying sorry, leaving me you didn’t mean.

I once believe that love was a magical thing,
Twice I’ve proven there really is no such thing.
