Distance

From afar

I gazed at the shooting star 

waiting for the right one

wishing for the one. 

The next thing I know 

bright eyes, playful and with mirth gazed back into mine. 

Our eyes danced, flirted with each other from afar 

almost as if we were beside each other. 

Yet you were that far

just as how I gazed at the star. 

Yet distance has done a great wonder,

where it makes hearts go fonder. 

You rewarded me with a smile, 

which I rewarded with a playful grin. 

If only my lips can reach yours, 

I won't hesitate to lock mine with yours!
