How do you know when something's not right?
When you see a torn butterfly wing?
Or when you hear that click and
a voice whispers death at the back of your mind?
I have always thought it's sad to see
All the world clad in black and white.
But I never thought it'd get to a point
Where all I see is gray.
And I always hear the slithering whisper
It's becoming harder not to heed
How do you ignore when every second it gets louder
Though would it be as bad as shutting it up?
But my life is a sweet peach,
how could I ever think otherwise?
Has it ever occured to you that apples look good
Even when there are worms inside?
I see words as thoughts that bleed out,
Let them scream in the only way I know how
While I keep smiling calmly about.
So if you're reading this, don't tell.
