When I look at people I always wonder what could there story be?
Some are full of twisted hopes and twisted dreams with a pinch of bittersweet downfalls and a pocket full of stars the only thread of sanity left they hold on to. Little are lucky to be overflowed and filled with light, some share and the worst ones throw them away what a waste-of-DNA bastards.
But are the stories worthy to be told or are the ones to be told worthy enough?
Maybe I was cursed to become a questioning machine but might I say, my mind has a hundred of folds. I ricochet between uncertainties and doubts. I wander around and I always get lost. This is when the adventure starts.
Ever wonder why some people who graduated in college with a degree don’t have jobs? Why the chasers become the ones being chased? Why the most silent have the loudest minds? Why pull is pushed and push is pulled?
We go to school, pass the board exam, graduate with a degree, get a job, earn money and become rich. And bam! You can start a family or have all your money to yourself and defunct your DNA in the human world. Just to be real, we do have a choice; we can choose not to go to school, be homeless and beg alms on the streets or starve ourselves to death. But no one wants that. So we are all stuck in a big roof which most of us call it “hell” that actually molds us to be better. But hey! We are the choice makers. We choose to be better or drive ourselves down which will then correspond to our definition of school. No one wants to go to school but not all dares to stop.
We can all go to a very good university or even the greatest in the country, and graduate with amazingly high grades but still some can’t even have decent jobs. Why? That is because nothing is guaranteed anymore. This generation is more challenging for everyone are competing to survive. Life is not a fantasy. Wake up. This is reality and it sucks.
Most of us like school, to gain and learn knowledge is not our main concern but to see our cracked-up friends who share the same silly thoughts, to see the person that makes one’s heart go LUBB-DUPP-LUBB-DUPP. But for those who doesn’t care at all feel obnoxiously tired because we need to wake up really early and do horrid assignments and horrendous projects that our beautiful and wonderful teachers prepared to pile up for us.
There are a lot of possible things to categorize students in a school, for there are a lot of people. Different kinds, interests, goals and more but these are the three categories I chose to use, they are: the Achievers, the Mediocre and the Underdogs. So which category do you think you belong?
Let’s talk about the first category, the Achievers; they are the ones who are blessed with great brainpower, diligent and obsessed with high grades that they tend to revolve their worlds on ways and on how to make it as high as they can. They know their limits but they don’t settle and rather go beyond them.
The Mediocre or the Averages are individuals who have the ability but do not make use of it. They are contented with what they receive even though they don’t give much effort. They lack self-confidence because they think that they are not better enough. They also lack motivation, determination and interest.
The Underdogs are the people who have the least capability and some they just don’t care. That is because they don’t have the motivation, determination and interest like the mediocre but worst. These people are usually lost they don’t know which way to go because they don’t have goals or plans. They haven’t found there purpose yet.
I do believe that there are impossibilities and that the word ‘impossible’ exists, not that I am being a pessimist. People who are on the bright side and who’d rather stay there believe that nothing is impossible since the word itself says “I’m possible”. But I don’t agree to that because no one can fly unless you use a technology that was devised to enable a person to fly, but still us mortals alone can’t fly. Make sense right?
Have you ever had that one classmate who is very quiet? Or someone who’s just walking by, like they have their own realm? Stuck in their world of imagination? If you can’t find him/her then maybe it’s you. If not, you may never remember them. ‘Quiet people have the loudest minds’, according to Stephen Hawking. They have inward focus and find more pleasure by themselves than any sort of social indulgence. They’re like ghosts just passing without giving a crap in the world. They go by the name ‘introverts’ or ‘loner wolves’. You may think that they’re boring because they have nothing to say but you’re entirely wrong they just know that you’re not worth a piece of their thoughts. Converse with them and if you don’t matter, they’ll shut you out with replies that would immediately end the conversation and in worst case scenarios in awkward situations. They’re just looking for people of good quality that can make them feel like it’s a good fortune of knowing their existence, for it is better to be alone than in bad company. They’re minds are jumping from galaxies to galaxies. You never know what’s in it. And I am one of them.
If you were to be isolated with one person who would you choose to be with you, a man full of tattoos and piercings or a man who goes to church every week? Okay let’s be honest physical appearance matters. It is a big part of our impression towards the peers. I hate that fact. Sometimes the coldest persons have the warmest hearts. People who always smile just to hide the invisible scars and others wear it as masks. We are the ones we no longer are. We all have war within us we can’t just go around and drop bombs to other people about someone. Words are tsunamis but a lot of people splash them around like they’re freaking puddles. So put this in mind, sometimes the nicest person you meet are covered in tattoos and the most judgmental and fake people go to church on Sundays.
In the heart-filled section, let’s talk about one sided love. The Chasers becoming the ones being chased, for a person’s feelings are like the weather. They come and go. The ones being chased be like ‘Why chase when I’m the catch?’ and the Chasers believe in finding 'The One.' I too myself was a chaser and I have also been chased. Let’s take a pause for a storytelling. There was this nerdy looking guy who fell in love with a girl. They were close friends but that girl liked another man. Puberty did him good, he transformed into one fine man and that was all for the girl he loved. But despite of all the changes he made he cannot make the girl fall in his arms. But then one day he found someone who was the one for him. The girl felt happy for him but sometimes she misses the attention she gets from the guy. We realize the importance of something when it’s gone. But to me it was different I took advantage of it or maybe all along I never knew that it will go away so fast.
Everything is not permanent. You have the power to change your life remember change is the only constant. I cannot provide all the answers to these questions. Not all questions are answered. These are just examples of the IRONY of life.
Losing someone who's not yours to lose. Longing for someone that's not yours to long for.
