I try hard to consider others' feelings.
to speak politely.
But honestly,
I wish someone would do the same for me.
Yet, there are specifics to get me to talking
About my musings and my hurts
Because even so, I'll consider
What you'll think of me.
I'll tiptoe on a thread,
the threshold to who I am.
It'll sure take a river of patience
Before my mouth spills the stories.
Still, if you insist on my honesty,
There is an easy way:
Hand me a pen and a paper
Be my guest if you will.
Sure I can sprinkle it with metaphors and lay down riddles
But what you'll read is me.
Well, not quite yet.
Beware of relativity
You know—
Interpretations can be tricky.
