I would rather
feel the pain of
knowing the truth
than to be happy
not knowing that
I was deceived
and everything
that I believe for
is just a lie.

I would rather
give up the fight
choose my defeat
let go and move on
than to still hold
onto something
which I could not
prevent from always
falling apart.

I would rather
wait for the sun
to rise above
and feel its warm hug
than to expect
a treasure gold
at the end of
the rainbow after
a cold harsh rain.
