Every person we meet has a role to fulfill in our lives. They can either make us or break us. But nevertheless, we gain something from them—either precious moments or priceless lessons.
People come and go.
But the right ones will always stay.
As I grow older, I realize that it's not important to have a large number of friends. Just a few good people who truly care for you and understand you is more than enough. It's a matter of quality over quantity.
You will know who your true friends are during your most difficult time—they are the people who will never let you down; who will never leave your side; who will give their help in any way they can.
Choose your friends accordingly. Guard yourself. Trust the right ones, but always have an allowance for mistakes and disappointments.
As I grow older, I realize that my goals aren't just to finish school, find a work, help my family, find someone to grow old with... it's more than that. I'm looking for a deeper purpose. And I want to help other people especially those who are poor, sick and even those who are lost. With the help of God, I know I will be able to do it.
Let's give a helping hand to those who are in need.
As I grow older, I realize that heartbreaks aren't intended for you to just get hurt, but it is to avoid you to commit a bigger mistake—to be tied to the wrong person. Failed relationships are meant to prepare you when the right person come along. Those are lessons.
You can experience love with different kind of people but the intensity isn't the same. Remember, every heartbreak is a step closer to what is intended for you. Think of this as a problem solving in Math. There will be trial and error, but in the end you'll get the right answer. You'll get what you truly deserve.
As I grow older, I realize that the family is our shelter who gives us comfort. You always have your family—no matter what happens to you all throughout the day; no matter what you choose to do; no matter what you're going through. They always have your back. You can always depend on them. So, appreciate them.
If I'm going to live again, I will still choose to have the same family I have now. To my mother, father, sister and brothers, as well as my supportive grandparents who are now in heaven, I love you so much. You mean the world to me. Thank you for everything.
As I grow older, I realize that my faith in God is my cornerstone. Through ups and downs, He is always there for me. He gives me mercy. He gives me another chance. He gives us blessing each day. I can't express how grateful I am. I love Him more than words can say.
To anyone who's going through a bad time right now, don't lose hope. Don't give up. Trust the Lord. Pray with all your heart. God reserves what we all deserve to have.
