As soon as I got up this morning, I decided to turn on the News channel on my television set. I tuned into Headlines first and after that, decided to watch details of 2-3 from amongst them.
The first and the only story I could watch covered the news of DM Mukesh Pandey who committed suicide by jumping in front of a train in around Ghaziabad. Originally, hailing from Buxar, Bihar, DM Mukesh had pre-planned this entire scene, if the reporters are to be believed. He checked into Hotel Lila Palace in Ghaziabad and was staying there. The reporter showed the entire area where he, DM Mukesh Pandey, strolled before moving towards the railway track. It was a mall-name of which I don't recollect now. The guard said he was taking slow walks through the entire mall and also that, his movements were caught by CCTV cam installed right above the main entrance of the mall. After having completed his slow strolls, he left the mall and headed for the railway track- where later he was found dead by the people. Police is still inspecting the case. DM Pandey left suicide notes- one in his bag at the hotel and two others in his wallet that the search team found on spot. He had also whatsapped his suicide plan to his family members. The family members informed Bihar police who then informed Ghaziabad police. Ghaziabad team immediately left to search for DM Pandey but they were a little late. The Country has lost one of its assets.
The reporters claimed that the reason quoted in his suicide note was that that he had a fight with his wife after which he left for Ghaziabad and planned all of this scene because of the tension and stress he was too.
This news piece left me pondering- Where are we heading to?What has happened to the world? SUICIDE IS NEVER A SOLUTION TO ANY PROBLEMS WE FACE IN LIFE. You might think its a way out of your problems but you never realise how much sufferings you create for people related to you. Everyone faces a problem. Everyone has a fight with their loved ones. Everyone has something or other going not as per their plan. But it doesn't mean everyone gives up and commit suicide.
Think about DM Mukesh Pandey's family. His parents haven't struggled their entire life to see their son give up to depression and stress- they didnot deserve this. His wife would repent her entire life for having fought with him- she didn't deserve this. His seniors, juniors and colleagues would miss his smiling face every morning to work- they didn't deserve this.
Everyone deserves a second chance- even life. If you are depressed, talk your heart out to someone you trust. Or better, try talking to the person you are in a problem with. Maintain diary. Maintain blog. Seek professional help. THERE'S ALWAYS A WAY OUT BECAUSE SUICIDE IS NEVER AN OPTION.
I know its too late but suicide cases like one of these makes many of the teenagers wonder what could possibly happen wrong with a person as educated and successful as DM Pandey himself. We cannot imagine what he went through or what his thoughts were but one thing we need to keep in mind is that every problem comes with a solution. SUICIDE se kisi ka kuch nahi hona hai. Bas jo aapse pyaar karte hain, unnlogo ko zindagi bhar ke liye ek gamm aur ilzaam de ke chale jaaoge.
