Future Husband,

I know we haven't met yet and we also donot know each other yet.I am writing this letter to you so that in future when we meet,I can myself give you this li'l thoughts I have now and will have in future too.

You maybe surprised to know that I am not against dowry. Please don't get mad at me because when I speak of dowry,I refer to that definition of dowry which I myself made up as a li'l girl.Stop pondering and Don't worry.I will help you with the definition.

I am a girl from India - the place which has got its roots in Vedas,mythology and beliefs.I viewed society from an entire different viewpoint.Trust me,growing up in India as a girl with independent stand is not an easy task. It is very difficult.

I myself was put forth so many standards,values and ways of growing up but thanks to my modern traditional family,I grew up  as per my wish and thoughts. Not everyone dares to do such a thing that my family did. They stayed together and  inculcated the thought process of 'following my heart rather than the traditional norms of society'.My family made sure that all the kids in the house were treated equally. But I believed they were partial with us girls and it was because we were given more freedom and liberty. Maybe it was because of the fact that last few generations did not have had any girl child,positive impact of which has been showered upon us.

Lets return to the original subject matter of this letter. Honey,I read a quote somewhere that 'If there is something that you know is going to make you happy,risk it. Life is too short for regrets and happiness is rare.'U r my world baby. So just hear my thoughts for now.

I don't want us to take any financial aid from my parents...We both are educated enough to make big monies...But u know what Sweetheart,I want to have a big wedding with all the 'taam jhaam' and worldly affairs..I came up with an idea for this..I know it sounds crazy but isn't it fair enough to utilise all our dahej wala paisa for this dream wedding of us?Its just a day's event that is gonna bring us so close to each other that v become inseparable souls..No one will remember what all goodies we got in dahej,but everyone will definetely praise a lavish wedding we organise..n even our kids will be mesmerized when they look at our magical pics of the big day..This is how I dream of spending my Dahej amount.

I am waiting to listen to your views on my thought of utilisation of Modern Dahej. We are gonna be together for an entire lifetime. Let's give it a beautiful start by opening up on this topic.
