Speaking our hearts

Growing up isn't as easy as it used to be in fairytales. It is a lot more than Prince Charming on his white house. Well well well, growing up isn't optional guys-its MANDATORY. And as we grew up, we are able to see the pros and cons of this increase in height and age. We are now allowed to choose-be it the subject for graduation, be it the place we want to live in, be it the people we feel comfortable around. But hey hey hey..!! This isn't it. Growing up involves tremendous pressures- Percentage in exam, Placement, joining etc etc. Being an Indian, the above listed things don't affect us. The worst thing that makes you feel all grown up is the PRESSURE OF GETTING MARRIED. We Indians are obsessed with this topic. Bacchche bade hote nahi ke hum unke liye plan karna start kar dete hain- Ye ladka, ye caste, ye family, ye ghar, ye job. Give us a break yaar..!! We are already frustated with all the worldly pressures and it's really not easy to tolerate all these nuisances. Yup, as your responsible kid, we are meant to listen to you. But Why is it this hard to realise that we are mature enough to choose the right partner for us. We are exposed to so many people once we step out of your protective shield of care. Have you ever thought why we have so many friends but just one person we are really close too?? Let me help you here. It's because we didn't choose him. It's like she/he had some features which signalled us that we would be great together and thus, we are with them. And here's an eye opener- Finding that special one wasn't easy at all. We went through break ups that you are not aware about, we cried all night and didn't tell you about it, we tried really hard to move on..And as always, IT WASN'T EASY..!! 

When we gather enough courage to tell about our partner to you, you reject our special one just for the sake of caste and society..Ye kahan ki justice hai bhai?? Please rise above casteism and consider our feelings. Society doesn't have to stay with a stranger-it's us who will have to go through all of these. You made us a mature person with your love, care and education. Only thing we ask you in return is to approve our love because we don't want to get married without your blessings. Maybe for your sake, we do get married to some stranger, but it will only spoil our lives-for we cannot love him.

It kills us everytime when you hint us about not choosing a boy or a girl from lower caste. It makes us go through a mental trauma when we even imagine ourselves with some stranger on bed. We don't ask you for the Stars or the moon. We are just asking to let us choose who we want to spend our lives with.
