Letter to Tinkerielle

Hi there! I know that it is not the right time to talk to you, but I just want you to know that your wings are starting to grow and you have only two more years before they develop into adult wings. These wings will soon allow you to go to uncharted lands and you will be able to see what is on top of the Mother Tree!

Exciting, right? I know. But first, you must remember to take care of these wings as you would with your cricket, Jumbo. He is a fine fellow, you know? You took care of him since you got out of the womb of Mother Tree. He was but a tiny brown spec on the window sill when Father Sun first opened the curtains of your nursery, and Jumbo was so scared of the light, just as you were scared when these wings began to grow from your back.

Do not be scared. It is going to be beautiful. It will be a bit painful each time it grows out, but you will smell the future flights that you will be having. They will be full of colors and the sound of the wind will make you shiver in delight and excitement. However, you must not be so delighted, for each adventure will bring you so many puzzles, most of which will challenge your wits and you might even need Jumbo The Cricket to help you in deciphering how each puzzle works.

When these times come, you must be thankful for Jumbo, and for all the other pixies that you meet. They are the witnesses of your growth and Mother Tree and Father Sun will be so proud to see you again when you come back from your travels. You will become more beautiful and your wings will shine brighter each day.

Do not be scared. Take flight! Hold on tight and breathe with the life of the wind and the sky!
