How can a single meeting of the eyes make a heart pound, throb, and stop all at the same time? is this magic? Is it tragic?

It took us just one second for our eyes to speak, our souls to feel each other’s warmth and cue endlessly figuring out where would time place us into the games of destiny.
It took us just one wave of goodbye for us to come undone, just one laugh to regain those feelings that we worked so hard to lose, and one hello to freeze the passing time, wishing there could be someone waiting for our one great love to be offered to. I like to believe there’s more to hello than just a casual greeting. It begs the heart, knocks the soul, and gives chills to the bones.

How our everything changed, none has ever heard before. All our life, we longed for that one perfect person but there’s no one like a perfect person until we knew how to be perfect for ourselves. We cared for our self and our own alone. We admired our own to the point that we were believed to be narcissists. We moved mountains, dove seas, ate in fancy restaurants without asking for the approval of anyone else for we thought that alone time is quality time. We were by ourself long before we felt how being alone was like. We had a hard time battling with our own mind but we knew the battle is worth fighting for because we thought that a war with one’s self is a war with the universe, which meant a lot.

And for the longest time we did it for ourself, we met.
Just like that, everything changed.
