"Some stories are meant to be incomplete."
It's her first day at school. Little Meera was too excited about her first day, until she entered the classroom.
It was full of butterflies with different colours of wings. All of them were perfect.
But Meera was the only one with the black wings.
She was sitting alone at a corner and looking at her blue desk with rainbow painted on it.
Startled by the sound of moving of a chair, she turned around and saw him, the only one with the white wings.
He was troubled and alone. Meera felt him and gave him a seat.
They stood out from everyone, so they stayed together & flew together.
Both of them were fond of colours, so they collected glowing pebbles and kept them.
They fulfilled each other. He gave her the light she required and she gave him the darkness, he desired.
That little boy even decided to marry her. But little did he know about the future.
Then there was a storm and it detached them. Still they kept each other's colours with them.
Days went by.
Troubles came by.
8 years has passed till that fateful storm.
Again, Meera was a in a classroom with full of unknown faces and her eyes were crying for a known face and again she spotted him, the boy with the white wings. But those wings were a little stained with other colours. Though her darkness was still present in there.
She was glad that he carried her darkness throughout these years.
But her white spots, which he gave her, were mostly gone due to huge storms she faced.
She had stains on her wings too but the wings were black and black hides stains.
Then the magic happened. After all these years everything was same between them.
He found someone more colourful for his life and Meera searched him in every colour that came into her life.
Meera thought that he might have even forgotten about marrying her. She laughed at her own thought and started painting her life.
Paintings are beautiful but they fade way with time. Every picture Meera painted, never matched with the painting stuck in her mind.
Still she never gave up.
And then, one fine day a monster with big red wings came to Meera and gave her a false visualization of light. Meera believed him and started to paint her wall.
The further she goes, all she found was walls with bloodstain. She searched everywhere for that light. But they were nowhere to be found.
THOSE WERE HER BLOOD!!!!
It devastated her and all the white spots on her wings started to vanish one by one.
All she was left with, were two broken wings. She was on a verge of death when her light finally came to save her.
That painting in her mind, it was him. Her light. Why didn't she realize it earlier? His light kept her alive all those years.
This time his light was also fading away.
Still he held Meera and saved her from the verge of death.
But every action has its own consequences.
The light she knew, was gone.
Her darkness consumed her one and only light.
He flew away with his dark wings, in fear that they would snatch his beloved Meera from him again. So he kept his distance.
Meera was alive but lost her wings. She was unable to fly back to him. Even if she reached him, he was out of her reach.
Now Meera knows that she is on her own.
Her light saved her indeed, but with all the darkness he took from her, he also took her paintings in her mind.
6 years later:
Standing near the ocean Meera put her hands into the pocket of her favourite old white jacket. She found some colourful cristal clear pebbles in there. She recognized them and smiled.
