Our love was like a dream,
Envied by many.
I was a cheerleader, you were the star player.
But no one knows the dark secret we both have.
You were addicted, not to me, but to a certain "happy pill".
While I was on the verge of killing myself.
Your happy pill was your salvation,
While cutting my body was my therapy.
Until one day you overdosed,
And I had cut too deep.
We were both found lifeless,
On a bed full of thorns.
We left the world without them knowing the reason,
Behind the deed we called therapy and salvation.
They don't know that behind every pill and every cut,
Is a heart that longs to be stopped.
