'I'll miss you'. This is what one says while bidding goodbye to his/her beloved person. But she didn't! "Why will I miss you when you'll always be close to me, in my heart", she told him instead. Yes, they are friends. Rather, very good friends. But wait, don't think that being such good friends they must have certain things in common. Because, the only thing they have in common is- their love for music.
It all started during the musical meet of their school. Violina was up on the stage, singing her favourite singles. Now, for duet, she asked someone to join her. And Tido, another admired singer was there to do so. Their duet performance was loved by everyone, setting the building block of their friendship. The talks that followed, surrounded the topic- Music. They started knowing each other by discussing about various songs. Violina and Tido were completely different from each other, their nature, choice, thoughts, taste, character, etc. But songs kept them bound together. Through their common favorite songs, they could relate to each other. They shared their life stories and could even feel one another through discussions over music. But at all other times, they were completely dissimilar persons. During the musical shows that followed, they proved to be admirable music partners or say, music couple. Starting from organizing the program to duet performances, they left no stone unturned, helping each other all throughout. At times, when Dora, while performing, went out of tune, or her voice just didn't cooperate with her, Tido would always be there to catch up the tune and carry on, saving Dora from embarrassment or disappointment, just like a guy, who holds his beloved girl's hand in her difficult times. In this way, he never let her feel lonely or helpless, atleast on stage, be it a solo or a duet. Gradually, they started sharing a strong bond of friendship, which she called a 'musical friendship'. The next Monday, 7th of August, was Tido's birthday. So Dora planned to gift him a pair of earphones, which he needed. This was to express her gratitude to him. Accordingly, she gifted him the present, to his utter surprise. And day by day their friendship got mutually built on strong pillars.
But, their friendship could have seen a glimpse of discontinuation when Tido shifted to another city. But, they didn't let this happen. On his last day in the school, they promised to keep in touch and Tido gifted Dora, a violin key chain, to mark their new friendship. Till date, they continue to keep their promise. Thanks to the technology, including the social networking sites, that enable them to have hours of conversations on music. You must be wondering, why only on music? It is so because, at all other times, their thoughts are quite different from one another to have discussion on some other topic.
Today, although the two souls are far from each other, they have one daily task in common, to look at the gifts, remember each other's face and wear a smile. Now, either you call it a love story or a story of friendship, your choice.
Relatable to those who feel the change in themselves with changing times and to the introverts......
