Where did I lose my Key?
Kaavya has a very fair and small round face with intriguing, heart shaped chin. Her cheeks mushroom on either side whenever she smiles, which makes her look innocently cute. Her brown eyes with tinge of green are provoking and hold a ridiculously strong pull.
Her thoughts, her talks run incoherent; you would be talking about one thing and suddenly out of nowhere, she’ll bounce entirely different question.
We are sitting in the library. She has forced me to play a game “add a line…” She says she can read a person’s psyche out of it.
So she wrote the first line,
I don’t have any tea… (I don’t know why just tea, I mean there are millions of things that you don’t have then why write an insignificant thing as tea. Then I guessed probably I should stop deciphering and go by the rhyme.)
Did I pay the fee? I write next. I have spent a major junk out of the fee money and fee submission deadline is close, so is my session to hear dad’s boiling mind.
I wonder what excuse I will make this time.
Thy, thou, thee…she wrote. Her lines are going weird to weirder, so I just add fuel to it.
Is that a pee? She smiles at my line.
Swimming across the sea... She added.
This can only be me...I wrote ahead.
Climbing the tree... She added once more of her senseless line.
I lost my key... I wrote.
Why am I always free? She wrote. I began to develop a taste in that weird game of her.
What is wrong with me…??
“Wow, I did not expect this will go so well.” Her eyes lit up. She stopped writing and held the notebook reading what so ever written in quite whisper.
I curious as a kid watching a magic show, wait for something unusual to startle her. Those lines were nothing but crap.
“I did not understand a line of yours. How can you predict about a person with this foolish game of yours?”
“Duffer, that’s because, I was trying to read you putting my lines. This isn’t supposed for you to read me.”
“So did it work?” I ask.
“I guess it did.” She smirks. “Okay I’ll tell you what I think and you tell me it how close it is?”
“Go ahead.” I was dying to hear her explanations.
“Okay, so I think that previously you were not such an asshole…”
“What? What? Asshole? Girl calling you an asshole even when you are sounds like improper.”
“Sorry, don’t mind my words. Sometimes in excitement, true emotion fall out but just ignore it. So you must be fun, if not fun fine. I mean person who knows to be happy. Am I right?”
“Go ahead.”
“So you were like kind of untamable, I don’t know if it’s the right word but something like it. Imaginably you did have dreams. Somewhere along your usual run in life you lost something that means most to you, or you realized its importance when you lost it. And now you are here so typically you. And you do realize it that this is not you; something is wrong with you.”
They are just words and sentences that I just wrote to rhyme. They meant nothing but when she explains them how can they reveal so much about me. It was me who wrote them and I didn’t mean anything as she deciphered them. That was crazy just like her.
“So I’m right?” She asks with a confident smile in that small face, God she knows she was right.
“It’s all bullshit.”
“Shut up, I know I’m right.”
“You are wrong and I’m not an asshole.”
“You are going to stick with one girl forever, its bit difficult to imagine.
00Was it just a mad quest for love? Was it? No it wasn’t. It couldn’t be. It was more.
