Never Ending 3

She sat at the table across Abhimanyu when she felt a gentle yet firm hand on her bare shoulders. It was Aniketh Yashaswi, her classmate from London Business School. She had a spark in her eyes like Abhimanyu had never seen before. "Am I interrupting something?" he asked coyly. Anamika was the first to speak, "No, please join us." Abhimanyu felt dismissed but nothing about her surprised him too much. "If it isn't Abhimanyu Rai. Huge fan!" he said shaking hands with him. Anamika blushed. "What brings you here?" she asked stealing Abhimanyu's spotlight.

"I came here to ask your hand in marriage," he said, looking into Anamika's eyes seriously. Abhimanyu's teeth clenched. Anamika laughed it off, to Abhimanyu's annoyance. "Ha! How well you know me!" He laughed along "Don't mean to brag but I am here to receive an award. These londoners are fairly liberal when it comes to their localities." he joked. "Stop kidding Ani, I know how strict these delegations can be. I wasn't sure I'd win an award myself." She said somewhat braggingly. This really took Abhimayu by surprise. Why was Anamika trying to impress this man? She called him Ani!

"Oh how I have missed you Anu, Can I have a dance?" "Gladly!" came the reply and they glided away. "But she hates being called Anu" Abhimayu said, feeling her journal in his pocket. "Why is she so out of her element?" He was tensed! "Or is this a trap?" Only time will tell, he thought and left for his room with an empty stomach.

The next few days were torturous for Abhimanyu. Yet, he endured. He was running out of patience from waiting for so many years to avenge. He had set his trap for that night but she escaped narrowly. This time she won't. She will be dead before the clock strikes 12. He let out a sadistic laugh.
