She was a puzzle,

that everyone wanted to solve.

A confusing riddle,

an unanswered question.

It kept them up all night,

the spine-tingling, riveting

thrill in seeking the unknown.

But then the fire always seem to die.

The mystery too complex to be deciphered.

Not one of them stayed long enough

to really find the answer.

So she stared as they walked away,

knowing not one of them vowed to stay.

Her pillow a witness to all her silent tears,

she wasn't even worthy of being

promised the future,

their unsaid words, were loud and clear.

Cause everyone wanted the smooth sailing way,

and she was nowhere near easy.

Her thoughts and actions were as clear as mud.

Her attitude as difficult as trying to sing a song without lyrics.

Everything about her screamed complicated.

But she's just human like everybody else

who wants someone who'll stay.

Someone who will choose her everyday

Because aren't all things difficult worth having in the end anyway?
