These borrowed feelings aren't mine to feel.
They're from this old couple I see walking everyday holding hands with love clearly written all over their faces.
These borrowed feelings aren't mine to feel.
They're from these kids playing in the park,
laughing and screaming, innocence reflected in their eyes.
These borrowed feelings aren't mine to feel.
They're from this old blind man I talked to in church,
he was alone and can't see.
Yet why do I feel he can clearly see through me.
These borrowed feelings aren't mine to feel.
They're from this girl who always speak of positivity.
It's infectious I end up thinking of rainbows and butterflies when I go to sleep.
These borrowed feelings aren't mine to feel.
They're from this guy whose words are poetry to my eyes.
He makes me think of similes and metaphors and all the words that could possibly rhyme.
These borrowed feelings aren't mine to feel.
They're from this aspiring artist who creates his own music.
Everytime I hear him sing , my tired heart can't help but sing aswell.
These borrowed feelings aren't mine to feel.
And how I wish they're all mine.
By morning, I know I'll wake up with an empty feeling
So I'll crave for those borrowed feelings again,
Just so I can feel something, anything.
