Reason

The only reason I didn't let go of you, was because I loved you with all I could ever give and with everything I ever had and yet no closure was ensued.

It broke me everyday knowing we could never be more than this, than friends. We will never be lovers nor a fling

I know being friends is better than nothing, but tell me why does it hurt every time those words ring?

You were the only thing keeping me alive and you didn't know a thing

I wrote poems upon poems about you, about us.
I wrote stories upon stories but not one was enough.
I wrote letters upon letters to your heart hoping that one day I could come near.
I wrote and wrote until my words felt like what I thought.

You were the only thing I couldn't give up on, but I wanted to.
You were the only thing holding me back, but I let you.
You were the only thing making me cry, but I love the feeling.
You were the only thing who made me guess, but I let it be.
You were the only thing i could never call mine, but I still kept loving thee.

So the only reason why I won't let go of you was because there was no closure ensued upon us and what we were and what was between us. I loved you with all I could give and with everything I ever had but I didn't know if you did the same.

I just loved you blindly without knowing what it could be.
