Remorse And Ecstasy

The seat's cushion was a little sunk.
It made it more cozy.
I started to wonder about why exactly was I in his house.
I looked up, only to find him looking at me, with a little smile playing on his face.
A wave of nostalgia hit me.
The whole world might turn upside down, but that smile would never waver.
His steady gaze was always a constant reminder that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
A reminder that he's always been there.
Even if we weren't together.
Through the calm.
Through the storm.
Although his presence brought back a chaos of broken hopes, i knew that he'd never leave me alone with my nightmares.
'We're not bros. I'm not going to be your bro!  Treat me like the lady I am! ', I whined.
'You?  A lady?  Please! ', he replied, snorting with laughter.
'Oh yeah, you would know all about THAT, wouldn't you? ', I said, biting back the snark.
A shadow passed across his face.
'It's been a while, and if we're being real, the you that you are right now, I don't think I like her very much'.
'Isn't this what you've always wanted?  For me to change? Well, here it is! Besides, no one changes Meghana Rao Gade but me!', I replied with a pointed look on my face.
'Okay, okay!  Fine! But we're still friends right? '
'Hoes before bros dude! '
'Good'
'Should I leave? '
'Did I ask you to? '
'No'
'Then stay'
'And do what? '
'Let's talk, and see if we are any good at this friends thing'
'Yeah? '
'Yeah (ﾟ▽＾*)☆ '
'No making out! '
'We'll see about that! ' he says smugly.

Never mind if I don't like you.
