The sea of people,
it brought you to me.
From the highest heights
to the lowest lows.
The Seven Seas you had to cross,
The Heavens you had to fly;
on foreign land, you stepped,
to me, it drew you nigh.
Obsidian night,
surrounded by light;
I saw a pair of blue,
a touch came through.
The Sea of people,
it brought you to me.
There was peace in silence,
between you and me.
Telling gazes,
clamorous waves;
stolen seconds,
is this lavender haze?
A heart
out in the open,
A choice
one should have taken.
As your bride-to-be,
why did we not marry?
A glimpse from here to there,
full of words, your stolen stare.
Your lips, they laughed,
but your eyes,
oh, your eyes made me wonder.
A decision made,
an accepted ill-fate;
So close, we were,
With a distance so great.
Such a mute lad
in a vast sea,
swim for your lass,
swim and move mountains quickly.
The Heavens cried,
and its tears fell;
the night was ending,
was this our farewell?
Alas, the sun rose,
and a new day dawned;
not many people,
just you, me, and the Sea.
Flamingo pink,
tangerine touched;
a hint of blue,
a hint of you.
Eight billion,
and you came to be;
The sea of people,
and it brought You to Me.
